Even though Mexico's granted the official international rights to the word, it's National Tequila Day here in America!
Entrepreneur Don Cenobio Sauza, founder of Sauza Tequila and Municipal President of the Village of Tequila from 1884-1885, was the first to export tequila to the United States. Since then millions of Americans have enjoyed the distilled beverage, which is made from the blue agave plant. Nowadays there are more than 901 registered brands of tequila from 128 different producers, so whether it's Don Julio, Patron, Avion, Deleon, 1800 Tequila or Jose Cuervo, picking your poison has never been easier.
Of course we all know how to drink tequila, but how many of us have actually tried cooking with it? This year we're celebrating with these super fun recipes.
